Civil Litigation Consultation and New Client Intake
Litigation can be a daunting prospect, and we understand that most individuals facing legal disputes, whether as a plaintiff or defendant, have never been in this situation before. Even if you've contacted a law firm before, each firm has its own unique process. At SLNLaw, we want to provide you with a clear understanding of how our intake process works and what to expect when you contact our firm.
The Initial Phone CallWhen you first reach out to us, you'll have an initial phone call with a member of our team. This may be the person who answers when you call or a callback you receive after filling out a web form or scheduling a free information call. Their primary role is to gather some initial information about your situation. They will assess whether your case falls within our areas of expertise and determine if we can help you. If your case aligns with our practice areas, they will assist you in scheduling a free consultation.
If, for any reason, your issue isn't within our scope of practice, please know that our team members maintain a network of trusted professionals. If we can't assist you directly, we'll be happy to provide a referral to another professional who can better address your specific needs. Your Free ConsultationThe next step in the process is a free consultation with one of our consultants. During this meeting, you'll have the opportunity to discuss your goals and objectives. We'll explore how our legal team might be able to assist you in achieving those goals and provide an overview of your available options. Our consultants work closely with our attorneys both before and after your initial consultation to ensure a seamless transition if you decide to hire our firm.
We primarily conduct these consultations via Zoom conference, which our clients have found to be convenient and efficient. However, if you prefer an in-person meeting or a telephone consultation, we can certainly accommodate your preference. Importantly, there is no charge for this meeting, and you will only incur fees if you choose to hire our firm and agree to the applicable terms. Your Attorney AssignmentUsually, the next business day after you retain our firm, you will be assigned an attorney specifically for your legal matter. Our attorneys are briefed on the details of your case during our daily morning huddles, where we determine the most appropriate attorney to meet your needs. You can expect to hear from your assigned attorney within a few days, and even sooner if there is a pending deadline or other urgent matter related to your case.
Throughout your legal journey, your attorney will receive support from our dedicated support team, ensuring that you receive comprehensive and personalized assistance. |
