Emily Smith-Lee

Emily Smith-Lee Employment and Business Lawyer
Emily is the founder of slnlaw LLC, and has been practicing law for 20 years. Prior to going out on her own in 2009, she was a partner at the international law firm McDermott, Will & Emery. Emily focuses her practice on business and employment law, helping small businesses and individual employees resolve disputes, enforce their legal rights, and manage risk proactively.  Emily has been named to the Massachusetts Super Lawyers list for each of the last five years, and wrote the book "Rules of the Road-What You Need to Know About Employment Laws in Massachusetts."​​  She was also recently honored as one of Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly's 2018 Lawyers of the Year, for her work in achieving a precedent-setting victory at the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court that significantly broadened the rights of consumers injured by generic pharmaceutical products.

Jenna Ordway

Jenna Ordway estate planning attorney
Jenna is a 2013 cum laude graduate of the Quinnipiac University School of Law, with a Tax Law Concentration, and earned her LLM in taxation from the Boston University School of Law in 2015. Jenna leads the slnlaw ​​estate planning practice, and wrote the book "The Road to Peace of Mind- What You Need to Know About Estate Planning." Jenna is also a member of the firm's business and employment law practice, and has helped clients with classification as independent contractors, breach of employment contracts, employment discrimination, and more.  Jenna was named a Rising Star in 2019 by Massachusetts Super Lawyers.

Rebecca Rogers

Rebecca Rogers Employment and Business Attorney
Rebecca is a 2007 graduate of Boston College Law School.  She joined us in 2012, after working as an intellectual property litigation attorney for  Fish & Richardson in Boston, Massachusetts, and clerking for the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.  Rebecca concentrates in business and employment law.  At slnlaw, Rebecca has handled business and employment litigation, drafted and argued successful appeals in the Massachusetts courts, and represented both individuals and business owners in claims involving employment discrimination, overtime compensation and other wage and hour issues, and business disputes.

Elijah ("Eli") Bresley

Eli is a 2014 graduate of Seton Hall University School of Law.  He joined us in 2021, after working for a boutique employment law firm and then the Labor and Employment department of a large Boston firm.  At slnlaw, Elijah handles employment law and business matters for individuals and small businesses, including matters involving employment discrimination, non compete agreements, wage and hour disputes and disputes over employee classification as independent contractors.

Sharleen Tinnin

Sharleen is a 2010 graduate of the Northeastern University School of Law, and earned her LLM in estate planning from the Western New England School of Law in 2016.  Prior to that, she received her undergraduate degree from Syracuse University.  Sharleen has 13 years experience in civil litigation in Massachusetts and federal courts, and joined slnlaw in January, 2023

Intake and Initial Consultation
Our consultant team is responsible for meeting with prospective clients at the initial consultation to help determine their options and how we can help them, and facilitating communication between new clients and the attorney assigned to their case, and ensuring that there is a smooth transition of information, and the attorneys have everything they need to best serve you.  They are a critical part of our team, and their work helps ensure that our attorneys can focus on what our clients most need them to do- manage their legal matters.

Dorothy Amendola: Dorothy joined us as a consultant in 2021.  She previously had ten years experience as a court reporter, and more than fifteen years experience in health care, including over a decade of experience as a Surgical First Assist in two major hospitals.  Her volunteer experience includes work for the Alzheimers Association, the Northeast Youth Rodeo Association, and the Westfield Homeless Cat Project.   

Aletheia Ordway slnlaw
Aletheia Ordway: Aletheia serves as a consultant and also supports our client work as a paralegal.  Aletheia plays a key role in helping prospective clients understand their options with our firm, staying in touch with clients throughout their matter, and providing administrative support to the attorneys so they can focus on the key legal problems they need to solve for you.

Nicole Burch slnlaw
Nicole Burch:  Nicole is our intake specialist and receptionist.  She may be the first person you speak with when you call our firm, and she will be the one to set up your initial consultation, greet you when you arrive, and help make sure the consultation process goes smoothly.

Michelle Cabral slnlaw paralegal
Michelle Cabral: Michelle is our senior paralegal, and has over twenty years experience at law firms large and small.  Michelle supports our attorneys with critical aspects of case management like discovery, document management, and case tracking.

Myriam Lebrun: Myriam is our estate and probate paralegal, and also helps with other legal matters as well.  Myriam has her paralegal certificate from Boston University, and has six years experience supporting attorneys in law firms like ours.
