Attorney Emily Smith-Lee

With over twenty years of experience as a business and employment lawyer and litigator, Emily Smith-Lee brings a wealth of expertise to our firm. Her practice includes small business litigation, employment and consumer disputes, contract review, and general business law advice. Emily was formerly a partner at a large Boston, Massachusetts law firm, where she handled business litigation, contract disputes, trade secret, and non-compete claims.
In 2009, Emily founded her own law firm, which later became SLNLaw LLC in 2016. Since then, she has represented individuals and businesses in civil litigation involving trade secrets, non-compete agreements, business litigation, and labor and employment law. Emily has successfully helped employees invalidate or re-negotiate their non-compete agreements, obtained settlements for numerous employees in overtime, wage and hour, employment discrimination, and independent contractor misclassification lawsuits, and favorably resolved various business disputes. She also provides small businesses with preventative legal advice on employment and contract issues, as well as negotiation and drafting of key business contracts.

With her diverse skill set, she has helped numerous clients with discrimination and harassment claims, wage and hour violations, and business disputes. Rebecca also serves as our appellate specialist, leveraging her expertise in drafting appeals for SLNLaw clients.
Before joining SLNLaw, Rebecca worked as an intellectual property litigation attorney for Fish & Richardson in Boston, Massachusetts, where she gained valuable experience in complex litigation matters. Additionally, she clerked for the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, enhancing her knowledge of the legal system.
Throughout her career, Rebecca has successfully handled wage and hour and employment discrimination lawsuits, as well as business disputes, both at the trial and appellate levels.

Attorney Eli Bresley

Prior to joining SLNLaw, he worked for a boutique employment law firm outside of Boston and for the Labor and Employment department of a large Boston firm. Elijah also spent a year clerking for the judges of the Superior Court in Hartford, Connecticut.
Elijah has extensive experience representing both public and private sector employees before state and federal courts in Massachusetts and at the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination.
