Can I Be Fired for Refusing the COVID Vaccine?
In most cases, an employer has a right to require employees to get the COVID vaccine as a condition of employment. The only exceptions are if you have a documented medical reason you should not have the vaccine, or a sincerely held religious belief that conflicts with the vaccine.
In either case, the employer's only obligation is to make reasonable accommodations for your disability or your religious objection. If there is not an accommodation available, or if the requested accommodation would unduly burden the employer, you can be fired for refusing the vaccine.
