What is the Employer's Responsibility for Information About the Paid Familyl Medical Leave Program?
Employers' Responsibility to Provide Notice of PFMLA RightsEmployers in Massachusetts are required to provide notice to their employees of the Paid Family Medical Leave, in two ways:
You are required to provide an opportunity for the employee to acknowledge receipt. If the employee does not sign or acknowledge, you will still be compliant with these requirements if you can prove through some other means that you gave them the opportunity to do so. Practically speaking, this probably means the best way to provide the notice is via email or some other electronic medium, so you can demonstrate that the information was sent and that the employees had an opportunity to acknowledge.
