Rebecca Rogers is a 2006 graduate of Boston College Law School. Prior to joining Smith Lee Nebenzahl, Rebecca worked as an intellectual property litigation attorney for Fish & Richardson in Boston, Massachusetts, and clerked for the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. Attorney Rogers joined Smith Lee Nebenzahl in 2012. While at Smith Lee Nebenzahl, Attorney Rogers has worked on civil litigation and appellate matters, including:
- Arbitration of a contract dispute between a non-profit organization and a service provider;
- Civil litigation of disputes between shareholders of close corporations under Massachusetts law;
- Labor and employment: civil litigation arising from violations of Massachusetts wage law and unemployment appeals;
- Personal injury: civil litigation arising from negligence and product liability;
- Appellate advocacy: defense of an appeal from a civil judgment in a trade secret case, pending in the Massachusetts Court of Appeals.
Before becoming an attorney Rebecca studied math, graduating with a degree in math from Smith College (magna cum laude and phi beta kappa), and working as a high school math teacher.
In her spare time Rebecca is an avid square dancer. She dances most weeks with Tech Squares, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology ("MIT") square dance club. Rebecca also spends one weekend each January participating in the MIT Mystery Hunt, an annual puzzle-hunting extravaganza. She co-founded a Mystery Hunt team in 2001 and has been participating ever since.
