Medical Malpractice (failure to diagnose):  Smith Lee Nebenzahl lawyers Andrew Nebenzahl and Aimee Goulding represented a Massachusetts plaintiff who sought treatment from his doctor for a mouth lesion.  The doctor did not order a biopsy or investigate the possibility of cancer, and the patient later developed an aggressive cancer, which required radical treatment and left him substantially impaired.  Attorneys Nebenzahl and Goulding sued the doctor for negligence and medical malpractice in the Massachusetts courts, resulting in a $900,000 settlement.

Medical Malpractice (failure to obtain informed consent):  Attorneys Nebenzahl and Goulding represented a Massachusetts woman who underwent surgery following a bicycle accident.   The doctor unnecessarily cut her quadriceps muscle, causing her substantial  injury.  Our lawyers sued the doctor for negligence and for failing to advise her of the risks of surgery and obtain informed consent, and obtained $150,000 settlement from the doctor.

Medical Malpractice (failure to diagnose): Attorneys Nebenzahl and Goulding represented a mother who was not administered a simple medication following delivery of twins that would have prevented serious harm to herself and a later born child.  Had the doctor properly interpreted her blood tests, he would have known that she had RH Hemolytic Disease, which could have been easily treated.  Because of the doctor’s negligence, she and a later-born child suffered serious harm.  Our lawyers obtained a judgment of $1.5 million after a trial in the Massachusetts court.
