Emily Smith-Lee has almost twenty years experience in civil litigation, including business, employment and consumer disputes. She was formerly a partner at a large Boston, Massachusetts law firm, where handled business litigation, product liability and tort defense, contract and trade secret and non compete claims.
In 2009, she started her own law firm, which became Smith Lee Nebenzahl in 2011. Since starting her own business, Attorney Smith-Lee has represented individuals and businesses in civil litigation involving trade secrets, non compete agreements, business litigation, labor and employment law, and consumer protection law. She has helped employees invalidate or re-negotiate their non compete agreements, obtained settlements for dozens of employees in overtime, wage and hour, and employment discrimination lawsuits, and favorably resolved numerous business disputes. Attorney Smith-Lee also provides advice to business owners on employment and contract issues.
Attorney Smith-Lee has handled civil litigation at all levels of the Massachusetts courts, including the Business Litigation section of the Massachusetts Superior Court, and in the federal courts in Massachusetts and elsewhere.
Attorney Smith-Lee graduated from Boston College Law School, summa cum laude, in 1996. She is admitted in Massachusetts and in the Federal courts in Massachusetts. She lives in Sharon, Massachusetts, and currently serves as Vice Chair of the Sharon, Massachusetts School Committee.
