Sana Abdullah specializes in employment law, business litigation, and consumer protection. She represents clients in state and federal court and in administrative proceedings involving claims of unlawful discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage claims, breach of contract and tort liability.
Sana began her legal career as an associate at McDermott Will & Emery in Boston, where she practiced in the areas of complex business litigation, health care litigation, arbitration, and government investigations.
Sana has extensive pro bono experience, including representing a class of 19,000 foster children to effect systemic reform of one of the nation’s largest state-run foster care systems, and representing victims of domestic violence in their family law matters. Sana has also worked as a volunteer attorney for the Victim Rights Law Center, representing victims of sexual assault in the areas of housing, immigration, education, and employment law, and for Health Law Advocates, representing low-income individuals in access to health care issues.
While in law school, Sana served as a Congressional Judicial Fellow in the Office of Congressman Bill Delahunt on Capitol Hill and clerked at the North Carolina Department of Justice. She also studied international law at the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London. Sana earned her J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis and her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with honors and distinction.
Sana is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
